​Mike grew up in the great American west. He spent his formative years there in an active relationship with the outdoors. Everything from hiking and rock climbing to backpacking trips exploring every new corner he could find. It was there he first let his curiosity grow from the things he could touch and see. A visual and hands on person he brings his light of curiosity and wonder to the things he builds and designs. His professional career has been a mixed bag of everything from manufacturing and art, to teaching and hospitality.

 

Moving to North Carolina in 2020 held more in store than he could have ever imagined, and in the spring of 2025 his dream of building a sustainable space of healing and animals with his best friend, and partner came to life. While still very much learning along the way Mike brings a childlike energy to the things he undertakes. Be it a treehouse or starting his own seed bank he finds joy in always tinkering around the farm.
