What should I do if I am having a mental health crisis?

If you are having a mental health crisis, call or text 988 or go to your local emergency department or find your local crisis services at crisissoulutionsNC.org.

If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your local emergency department.

If you are having suicidal thoughts you can call The Hopeline at 877-235-4525 or call/text 988.

What if you are not in network with my insurance?
While we are not in-network with all insurance plans, I am happy to provide you with a Super Bill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We are working to become in network with medicaid and will update when we are!

If you do not have insurance, or choose not to use your insurance benefits the following rates apply:

Initial Intake Appointment (60 minutes): $180

Individual Therapy Sessions (50-55 minutes): $150

Couples/Family Therapy Sessions(50-55 minutes) : $150

Evaluations and letters for gender-affirming care is always offered at no cost.

I also offer a number of sliding scale spots available through Open Path Collective. Please reach out if cost is a barrier to receiving services.

What is Farm therapy?
Farm therapy is a therapeutic practice that involves engaging individuals in farming, gardening, or other agricultural activities to promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It leverages the calming effects of nature and the act of nurturing plants or animals to support various therapeutic goals, such as reducing stress, improving mood, enhancing social skills, and fostering a sense of purpose.

What is the cancellation policy?
Broken Things Farm and Therapy requires 24 hours to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to an appointment will be charged $75 to the card that is on file for the missed session.
