Hello!

I’m Hannah Fesler (she/her) LCMHCA. Born and (mostly) raised in North Carolina. Growing up, I spent the summers on my grandparents’ farm where I developed a love for being outdoors and an understanding of just how beneficial it can be to be outside interacting with animals and nature. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and exercise and sport science, with a minor in health and society, from the University of North Carolina. For my master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, I started out at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, but ended up transferring to East Carolina University to finish - I just couldn’t stay away! Since graduating, I’ve had the opportunity to work with adolescents, young adults, and adults working their way through all of life’s unexpected ups and downs. I believe everyone should celebrate their individuality and important experiences, and I’m here to help develop a strong sense of identity emphasizing all of the things that make you exactly who you are.

Counseling with Me

As a therapist, I believe that every individual has the inherent capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, where I prioritize creating a safe and judgement free space for my clients to show up exactly as they are. I understand that each person is unique, and I honor the diversity of experiences and perspectives that people bring to therapy, and know how vulnerable it feels to share these with someone else.

I am committed to fostering a collaborative relationship, where you feel heard and understood, you are comfortable and respected, and you feel empowered to explore your feelings and thoughts at your own pace. It is not my place to offer solutions or judgments—rather, I listen with compassion and work alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, surprises, and successes. This nonjudgmental stance allows for deep self-reflection and meaningful change, as you come to understand your own strength.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, adjusting to something new, body image issues, chronic illnesses, or simply seeking personal growth, I am here to support you without judgment. My goal is to help you reconnect with your authentic self and cultivate the resilience and self-understanding needed to lead a fulfilling life. It is an honor to walk alongside you in this journey of self-exploration!
